The APC AR8422 is a heavy-duty 3U shelf designed specifically for 2-post relay racks. Its double-sided (center-mounted) design balances the weight of non-rackmount hardware, such as monitors, small towers, or desktop networking switches, across the rack’s center of gravity for maximum stability.
Made from high-quality steel with a professional black finish, this shelf supports significant equipment loads while maintaining airflow. It is an essential accessory for telecommunications closets and lab environments where a mix of rack-mounted and standalone equipment must be organized efficiently.
